Biography
Reggae band Natural Nation comes from Rotterdam and Sliedrecht. The band was founded in 2001 by bass-man Michel, skank-man Mike, en percussion-man Alexander. After completing the line-up with 3 leadsingers a repertoire with strictly own songs was built, and after that the first gigs were done. In this period their first single-cd "Sweet lady" was recorded.
After the 3 leadsingers left the current leadsinger Mr Mario entered the band. This formation now recorded a few new demo’s such as "Look so fine" and "Do you remember". This crew did perform for a couple of years.
In the year of 2007 the band recorded their first cd named"Are You Ready" wich is being received positive by the press.
Now in 2008 they have some new demo's that have to result in a new cd that will be released in Januari 2009.
The style that Natural Nation plays can be described as Upliftment reggae with dancehall flavor. The bandmembers mostly have a different musical background which results in a unique reggae sound.
Bass Michel en guitarist Mike grew up with reggae, leadsinger Mario is our rapping reggae hiphopper and sologitarist Gijs comes from the rock-scene.Kenneth is our drummer, he was a member of the in the 80's populair reggae band "EASY", and allard on percusion During shows Natural Nation is completed on the keyboard by "blackman"John, so that you can experience the full reggaesound.
