Biography Lloyd De Meza

Lloyd De Meza is one of the most experienced and talented Dutch R&B vocalists in Europe. For years he was the front singer in rap R&B formation Arnhemsgewijs. The group was the first to ever hit the Dutch music market with this new sound, making them the pioneers of the Dutch R&B genre. The group first hit the number one spot in the charts in 1996 with the single ( Je hebt me gebruikt ) meaning, u used me!
After that their album also got a lot of airplay and the band was nominated for the Edison Awards, Tmf Award, and the Hitkrant Awards. In all categories they have won these prices.
Due to miscommunication in the group and also lack of musical growth Lloyd left the band in their prime time in 1999.

After leaving the formation he joined lots of live bands and participated in numerous shows. By doing this he gave his musical genius a boost en made himself a better entertainer, composer and writer.
In 2000 it was time for something new, he was asked in several collaborations: With Brain Power (Dutch rap artist) won the Top 40 with "Vierde kaart", and with good friend and rapper Def Rhymz he had another number 1 hit with "Schudden". His solo track "Elke stap" in December 2001 was a Boxoffice hit, it was No. 12 in the Mega Top 100 and was over 16 weeks in the charts. Also he worked on the album "Gordon and Friends" and also on Dj Chuckie's hit "En nu ga je dansen klootzak.

2004 was time for another solo album! Lloyd handpicked a selective group of producers and artists that he wanted to work with. These where friends and production team all together. Some names are Patrick Arvai, Crown, North Starz production (Tierc�, Steel), John, Kenny Wise, Judy and P Moody.

In January 2005, the first single,( Minuten tikken weg)dropped on the internet on Juize fm radio. The first step towards the album was made. In March 2006 they released a great single called (Mijn Diamant)of the same titled album. The next single was called ( Niemand weet)which featured his producer Crown. They toured all throughout the Benelux with his show promoting the album, "My Diamond.

2008 Lloyd joins his musical partner in crime Reggae artist Benaissa for a feature on his album titled (Tables Turn) released by Reggae label Jahsolidrock. He worked on Hit singles like �Coconut water� and �Voodoo�. After shooting the video�s for these two tracks in The Dominican Republic, Silver Kamel Audio took the album global. Out now in more than 30 countries the success is still rising.

Lloyd De Meza works on numerous projects that rate from hip hop, soul R&B and reggae. One of these projects is due to be released soon called Men of honor, also Lloyd�s new solo album. Brace yourself for Lloyd, this would be the best English r&b releases of the year !!
