Biography

The music career of reggaerapper Rodrigue aka Drigo began in 2006.

Through a strike in “Blankenburg”, an asylum camp,
the band Afroreggae “Les Réfugiés” was founded.

Rodrigue who was the single asylum seeker of this band, was famous for the songs
written by himself and real texts direct rap.
Through the numerous appearances of the band in whole Germany the band “Les Réfugiés” became well-known.
The documentary film ''Wir haben das alles Satt'' with two film-makers was shot,
shows the true home live in the asylum camp where Drigo is for nearly four years.

2008 Rodrigue decided the implementation of his career.

His first songs like “La bureaucratie” reflects his anger as a human
on the German bureaucracy, you´re without a perspective as an artist and it brakes you.

The song by Metallica song ''One'' shows his interest as a musician for contrast.
In the dancehall song Djagadjaga, Drigo sings how this authorities have no respect for refugees.
Bob Marley was the inspiration for the song ''Seul dans ce monde'', which is about materialism.
